Folate is vitamin B9, a water-soluble vitamin that plays a key role in DNA and RNA synthesis, red blood cell production, and protein metabolism.
The body cannot make folate, so it must come from food or supplements, and certain diets, medications, and the common MTHFR genetic variant can affect folate status. BioFolate provides L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), the active, body-ready form, plus a small amount of active B12.
AOR Advantage: uses only the highest-purity L-5-MTHF (guaranteed greater than 99%), with a minimal amount of B12 since folate can mask a B12 deficiency.
