Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders

TMJ is an acronym that stands for temporomandibular joint. Your temporomandibular joints are located on both sides of your face, just in front of your ears.

TMJ dysfunction occurs when the muscles and ligaments around your jaw joints become inflamed or irritated. The condition can cause tension headaches and jaw pain that may be mild or severe.

Neuromodulator Injections using BOTOX Therapeutic relieves jaw tension by relaxing the muscles and making them unable to engage in the powerful, often unconscious movement of the jaw that produces headaches and pain.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

Hyperhidrosis is a condition causing excessive sweating that is not necessarily the result of physical exertion or temperature. Besides disrupting normal daily activities, this type of heavy sweating can cause social anxiety and embarrassment.

Neuromodulator Injections using BOTOX Therapeutic is a purified protein that is injected into the affected area to temporarily block the chemical responsible for activating the body’s sweat glands. While in effect, patients are free from the effects of excessive sweating, and studies demonstrate dryness lasting from 4 to 18 months.

Areas that can be treated are the palms, feet, underarms, scalp and facial areas.

Migraine Headaches

A migraine headache can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. It's not uncommon for it to be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and/or sound.

Migraine attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with your daily activities.

Neuromodulator Injections using BOTOX Therapeutic treats migraines by injecting in areas involved in headache and migraine pain. It affects the nerve endings and blocks the release of chemicals involved in pain transmission. Patients usually find relief 10-14 days post treatment.
